Another Contest: Terry Trivia

Eh! It’s Monday. What else can you say?

The Celtics decided to push my limits of sleep deprivation. Things here will return back to normal once they decide to give me my pillow back and wrap this series up Tuesday night.

The Red Sox took care of business this weekend against Cincinnati. Crisp with a couple of BIG swings. Was he showing off the skills for a possible trade for Griffey? (We hope not!)

So it’s the middle of the month. How about we give away something today?

We are sneaking in a quick, one-day contest today. We told you this was a month filled with giving away great Red Sox stuff. Let’s just see who is paying attention, shall we?

Answer the following questions:

Terry Francona had one appearance as a pitcher. What team did he make this appearance with? How many pitches did he throw? And if he struck anyone out, who was it?

Comment here with your answers. You have until midnight tonight to answer. Tomorrow we will randomly pick someone who replied, with the correct answers, and send them their prize.

What is the prize?

The winner will receive the latest book by Micheal Holley, Red Sox Rule: Terry Francona and Boston’s Rise to Dominance.

Good luck. I’m crawling back under the desk to grab some Z’s.

    Against the Boston Red Sox on May 29, 1993, he pitched the eighth inning allowing 2 hits, 3 walks, and 3 earned runs before blowing out his arm and undergoing Tommy John Surgery. He ended with a career ERA of 27.00.

    Oh wait, that was Jose Canseco. Can you send me a copy of Juiced instead?

    @El Duffo -

    Why bring up bad Boston mojo on such a huge Boston sports day? You had to go there?

    We will work on sending you Jose’s new book Vindicated. Just let us get in touch with our shipping contacts in Canada.
